Getting set for success.

Step 1:  Submit  the CFC Agency Information Form by August 1, 2016.   Our biggest challenge is engaging the right people to lead the campaign. This is why we ask you to appoint the strongest possible individual for this critical leadership role

  • Loaned Executive (LE): A Loaned Executive is a Federal Employee that is "loaned" by their agency to work on the CFC. The Loaned Executive is usually relieved of all work duties for the period they are working on the CFC. The role of a Loaned Executive is to conduct all solicitations among the federal employees in a campaign area. They are usually trained by the PCFO and work out of the PCFO during the campaign period.
  • Military Installation Project Officer(IPO):  Plans, prepares and executes the basewide solicitation. Leads and oversees the unit project officers; trains the keyworkers and acccounts for campaign receipts.  IPOs should be enthusiastic about the CFC, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be well respected by command and base personnel.
  • Civilian Agency Employee Campaign Chair (Coordinator) (ECC): Plans, prepares and executes your civilian office campaign. Coordinators should be enthusiastic about the CFC, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be well respected by management and their co-workers.
  • Keyworker
The CFC Keyworker is the go to person for their department. The Keyworker also has the very important role of making “the ask”. The  goal each year is 100% ask. The number one reason a potential donor doesn’t participate is because they were not asked. Additionally, the Keyworker coordinates small special events for their individual department(s), collects and reports contributions for charity distribution.  To learn more about becoming a CFC Keyworker, please contact your manager or CFC Employee Campaign Chair. If you have additional questions or would like to volunteer, contact us.

With the information provided, we will be better able to meet your agency campaign needs.  E-mail the completed form to: NorcalCFC@comcast.net.

Step 2:  Submit  the CFC Keyworker Information Form by August 31, 2016.   Having the appropriate campaign team size is critical to a succussful solicitation.  The CFC regulations encourage a 1:25 ratio of keyworkers to employees.

  • Keyworkers: Educate their peers about the CFC, help with campaign events, and solicit donations.  They should be outgoing individuals with strong communication skills, who are enthusiastic about the CFC.

E-mail the completed form to: Norcalcfc@comcast.net

Step 3: Training

All Loaned Executives are required to be trained.  The training encompasses leadership skills, organizational skills, regulatory compliance, ethics compliance and campaign management. Loaned Executives are trained in late August.  The training scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  August 25 & 26 at the San Francisco Federal Building  90 7th Street, Conference B110.

Employee Campaign Chair (ECC) Training  is held in early September and October (Check Event Calendar). The success of your respective federal agency’s campaign will fall largely on your shoulders and your collaborative efforts alongside your Loaned Executive and Keyworkers.  The training schedule is TBA and will be posted at a later date.  Not only will this be an exciting and fulfilling opportunity, but your campaign will be a success because of the organizational, creative and motivational techniques you use to build support for the CFC within your agency.  The ECC determines the solicitation timelinewithinthe workplace, plans the agency kick off event and oversees the keyworkers.  To learn more about becoming a CFC Employee Campaign Chair, please contact us.

Keyworker Training
Keyworker training is scheduled for late Septembeer and October.  Contact your Employee Campaign Coordinator or Installation project officer for specif hub training for your agency.
